Welcome to Unnamed Unclimbed Expeditions!
Consider this webpage to be
your gateway to the Himalaya. Pakistan alone has 52 of the world's 110 highest
peaks, the largest glaciers outside the poles (longest glacier in Nepal is
22 kilometers long, longest in Pakistan is a 122 kilometers long) and the
highest concentration of high peaks in the world.
We are not a
traditional guiding service. Our philosophy is to promote small-scale
alpine-style parties into this region so as to minimize the environmental
impact of people in the Himalaya. We do not believe in large-scale
military-style assaults that plan to lay a mountain under siege for months
and use an entourage of porters to conquer their mountain. We also do not believe in hand-holding a client to the summit of a peak.
Our responsibility is to take you to the base-camp of your desired peak in Pakistan, provide logistical support while you are on the peak, and bring you back safely. The vast majority of peaks in Pakistan are unnamed and unclimbed, therefore when starting a guiding service we could not think of a more suitable name. We highly encourage first ascents and I personally survey the mountains of Pakistan every year for suitable alpine challenges: ski-mountaineering peaks,
glacier-traverses, cross-country ski areas, high mountain passes, granite big walls, and snowy giants.
