Some of the
most spectacular destinations in the Himalaya can be reached on
skis. Recently a team reached K2 basecamp in winter and
cross-country ski trips across the Deosai Plateau (the highest
plateau in the world) are becoming more popular. This is an area
we hope to have up and running by winter 2007.
Thalle Valley, great views of Shigar and Hushe Valleys, several
unclimbed peaks, winter settlements of nomadic herders, and
Masherbrum Karakoram Himalaya
Deosai Plateau ~13,000-16,000 feet, the highest plateau in the
world with views of Nanga Parbat and K2(on a clear day)
